Why we choose the hardest problem

The hardest problems move humanity forward

Economists call it diminishing returns. We call it destiny.

Incremental issues solve themselves as markets churn – moon‑shots demand intention. Penicillin, GPS, and the microchip were outrageous quests before they became ordinary utilities.

Conquering radical longevity is that kind of quest. Mastering the body’s deepest mechanics unlocks breakthroughs that ripple into energy, materials science, even the arts.

That is why we run toward the grand challenge of radical longevity instead of orbiting safer projects.

Radical longevity: fuel for civilization

Imagine Einstein with forty more productive years or Maya Angelou still publishing today. Healthy longevity doesn’t just add birthdays, it multiplies the world’s stock of wisdom, creativity, and mentorship.

Extra decades let engineers found multiple companies, researchers chase dizzying multi‑lifetime hypotheses, and societies grow seasoned workforces rather than replace expertise every generation. Preventable suffering becomes morally intolerable once the tools to avert it exist.

We set 200 healthy years as a design target – not a prophecy – to force the kind of thinking that shrinks impossibility.

The bottleneck is knowledge, not biology

The human body isn’t refusing to share its secrets – we’re drowning in clues. PubMed alone adds a million biomedical papers every year – far more than any clinician can read. Genomic data, imaging, lab results, lifestyle metrics: all reside in separate silos that rarely converse. Meanwhile, a discovery made today typically needs seventeen years to reach everyday clinical practice.

In short, we are information‑rich and wisdom‑poor.

Artificial Intelligence is the leverage

AI doesn’t replace doctors – it amplifies them – turning torrents of fragmented data into coherent, actionable narratives.

When information friction drops to zero, innovation speed approaches the pace of software – days instead of decades.

Why do we wake up every morning?

We chase radical longevity not for records but for reinvention: a world where generations overlap in mentorship, where chronic disease recedes to history textbooks, and where human creativity has room to bloom across two full centuries of healthy life.

That future begins the moment we decide that impossible is simply the name of the work order.

Join us. Let’s compress centuries of medical progress into the next two decades – and make 200 healthy years the new normal.
